At last count at least 30 ways to be precise, because we stock 30 cheese sourced from all over the UK and Europe.
We are especially proud to sell the 2 Cotehill Cheeses, produced just up the road in Osgodby. Michael and Mary Davenport have been farming and milking cows for the past 30 years, but they only started making cheese in 2005. Just one year later in 2006 and their Cotehill Blue was already winning international accolades.
You mustn’t leave Lincolnshire without trying some ‘Yellowbelly’. No, you don’t have to eat one of the locals, it’s the nickname of Cotehill Yellow – see if you can spot it in our cheese counter!
We also stock Lincolnshire Poacher, produced by Simon and Tim Jones near Alford using only unpasteurised milk and traditional methods. A cross between a traditional West Country cheddar and a continental alpine cheese such as Comte. There are, though, a number of small technical differences within the make that give the cheese its unique texture and flavour.
